Juveniles

A juvenile is a person between 10 and 16 years of age.

If you are a juvenile, or the parent or guardian of a juvenile, the following procedure applies:
Juveniles MUST appear in court with a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian will be notified by mail of the court date and time. The notice to appear will be mailed two weeks prior to the court appearance date*.   

Minors

 

A minor is a person under the age of 21 years.

If you are a minor between the ages of 17 and 20 and have been charged with an alcohol or tobacco related offense, you must appear in court with a parent or guardian. The notice to appear will be mailed two weeks prior to the court appearance date*. 

*The notice will be mailed to the address on the front of the citation that was issued to the juvenile or minor.
