Dustin Phillips is serving his second term on the Benbrook City Council. Mr. Phillips was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas and has been a Benbrook resident since 2009.
Dustin and wife Marisa are proud parents to two young children, Clark and Victoria. They consider there family as their most important priority.
Mr. Phillips co-founded a non-profit organization, Opportunity Resource Services (ORS). ORS's focus is on alleviating poverty, increasing educational attainment, and improving rates of upward mobility in rural Texas communities. ORS facilitates five large grants funded by the Department of Education. Dustin works at ORS as President and CEO and enjoys problem-solving, creating efficiencies and helping students and clients succeed in higher education.
Mr. Phillips holds a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Church Ministry from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.
Mr. Phillips previously served as Treasurer of the Lake Worth Sailing Club, President of the Byers Square HOA, member of an FWISD site-based decision committee, and an Adjunct Instructor of Communications.
